Frequently asked questions

What is "flex" and why does it matter?

Flex defines the stiffness of the ski. A soft flex is ideal for butters and offers more forgiveness in the park. A rigide (as found on some competition models) offers more pop and better stability, but requires a higher technical level to be fully utilized.

Are the skis in my selection suitable for beginners?

My selection focuses on good skiers looking for high-performance equipment. However, some versatile models with a double rocker are very accessible and will allow a motivated skier to progress quickly in freestyle thanks to their maneuverability.

Can I use my freestyle skis on the slopes?

Yes, absolutely.. The skis in my selection are versatile. Thanks to the traditional camber underfoot, they maintain excellent grip on hard snow, even though their preferred territory remains the park and the sides of the run..

Should I "detune" (dull) my edges for the park?

Yes, it is highly recommended if you spend a lot of time on rails. Use an abrasive rubber or a file to dull the sharp edge underfoot and at the tips and tails. This prevents the ski from catching abruptly on the metal, which is the main cause of falls.
